Final Blog Post

1. How would you evaluate your understanding of the writing process from the beginning to the end of this semester?
In the beginning of the semester, I had a pretty good understanding of the writing process, but not as good as I do now. Being in this class has taught me many different processes of writing a paper and how to make it good.

2. Compare this course to other writing experiences you had in English classes throughout high school.
Other writing processes in my past three years have just been the generic English 9-11. I didn't really learn as much. It was basically the same thing the past three years. I hated it.
3. What do you consider to be your best piece of writing? Your worst piece of writing? Why?
My worst piece of writing was definitely the This I Believe paper. Why? Because I had to tie in something from my own person life. My best piece was the Compare and Contrast paper. Why? Because, I had two great words to compare and contrast and I had tons of fun with that paper.
4. What was the experience like writing fewer papers many times compared to writing many papers approximately one time?
I liked the writing fewer papers many times, because I get the chance to make them perfect by correcting my mistakes and making my papers better.
5. What can you now confidently say about yourself as a writer that you could not have said at the beginning of the semester?
At the beginning of the semester, I wasn't very confident with any of my papers. I was always anxious for anyone even teachers to read them. Now, I am as confident as can be with my papers. Whenever I finish a paper, I get the feeling of being done and being happy with what I just wrote.

Lunch On The Lawn

Lunch on the lawn was okay. I mean I was with my best friends, so that was a plus. Another plus was that the company that I work for was there as well. I loved seeing my coworkers and the guy from corporate. Other than that, it was kind of eh, I guess not as good. I mean, when I was trying to find something healthy to eat, there was nothing. All there was, was donatos, chick-fil-a, etc. Well, my freshmen year lunch on the lawn was certainly the best.

Oh well.

Ohio State Newark!

So, I am so happy that I got housing at Ohio State University Newark campus! I mean they only have like 140 rooms, which really not a lot! Basically, how they do it is by a lottery drawing. Which means that they randomly pick out a certain number of people. Too me, it's like a one in a million chance, and I was that one.

I am honestly so thankful for getting housing at Newark.  It's going to give a good experience, make me like every other incoming freshmen college student, and it's going to be good to get away.

I know how bad it sounds when I say, "I can't wait to get out of my house." But, my mom and I have had so many fights, that this is the best option and opportunity for us to have time to be apart. Sure, I'll be home sick at times, but I will learn to live life on my own, to be independent, and to be a good self-advocate for myself. I will learn also, to be able to manage and handle my own responsibilities. I think that will be the hardest for me, because I'm always so dependent on my mom to tell me what to do, how to do it, and what's right and wrong. I don't know anything else, so I think that it'll be a good/real wake up call for me, that I desperately need.

Why is it when I'm not supposed to blog, I have all of these ideas of what to blog about. But when I'm supposed to blog, I have nothing to blog about. Ugh, it is really frustrating.

High School vs. College

High school is just a level up from middle school. Middle school is just a level up from elementary school. Basically what I am trying to say is that it's like the last 12 years has been all the same, it just gets a tiny bit harder every single year.

With college, your on your own. You are responsible for yourself. No one is going to remind you your grades, you do everything for yourself. It's going to be a HUGE wake up call for many high schoolers, including myself.

Spring Break 2012

My spring break consisted of mostly working, which isn't a bad thing because I'm making money. I love working at Graeter's because I get to meet interesting costumers and interact with people and have fun with the other employees that I work with. I actually love all of the people that I work with. For three days of my spring break I went to my grandma's house with the hope of helping her to fix up some things around her condo, but didn't. We went what felt like EVERYWHERE to find the best prom dress. I did find thee most gorgeous dress ever. That was the highlight of my spring break. Other than that, it was boring and I worked a whole lot. Unlike all of the other seniors that probably went to the beach, went partying, or hung out with friends. I guess the other exciting thing that I did was go to one of my best friends birthday parties, which was supposed to be a slumber party, but the next day I had to be at work at noon so I knew that the right choice was to stay there for a few hours, and then leave. So that is exactly what I did, even though my friend wasn't happy with me. Oh well, I knew that I wouldn't make it to work on time or at all, and I don't want to get in trouble, so I know for a fact my choice was thee best choice. My spring break was okay, but it could've been better. Oh well, back to school on Monday. Yay, only a couple more months of my high school career.
